Got A Choice

Raider Klan frontman SpaceGhostPurpp gets on his late night narrative stee and drops a darkish (what else would it be?) cut named after a current beverage of choice.

SpaceGhostPurrp “Red Wine”

She Went For My Cologne

SpaceGhostPurrp returns with this EP of finely poured murkiness and bass. I will say that he has apparently taken note from the recent string of 808 heavy strip club anthems and made a noticeable shift in overall sonic depth and sound quality (now with (more) drums!)…but shit is still murky as fuck (so you won’t feel like he’s played you for a fool after all this while).

Gxt phucked to thxs B.M.W. EP

Big up my dude Mista Whoa on the cover art!

Oh My Motherfuckin’ God

SpaceGhostPurrp with a new murky one for the twerkers…as well as a new drum kit. Good to hear him in a more refined mode of recording. Chop-chop. N.A.S.A. Tape Vol. 2 out on Halloween.

“Stickin’” (Produced by SpaceGhostPurrp)

Still Tryin’ To Get Paid Now

SpaceGhostPurrp has an album (with his “hits” remastered) called Mysterious Phonk: The Chronicles Of SpaceGhostPurrp. You should be concerned with that instead of some silly ass online bickering.

“Osiris Of The East” (Produced by SpaceGhostPurrp)

Clark Kent

Waka does that ASAP Rocky/SpaceGhostPurrp joint somethin’ ugly. Triple F Life, June 12…I have found much joy in anticipating the arrival of said date.

“Pretty Gordo Freestyle”

Rest In Power Slim Dunkin.

Only Hit The Cheese Weed Once

Juicy J rhyming over a SpaceGhostPurrp production? Is this the irony you were looking for? Or is the Lord of Southern darkness just doing more of this “moving ahead” and “staying relevant with the new generation” stuff for which he’s been celebrated so much, especially recently. Either way, this murky shit is THE shit…and with a video that enhances the drug rush of the music. Off that extended Blue Dream & Lean.

“20 Zig Zags” (Produced by SpaceGhostPurrp)

X Times X

SpaceGhostPurrp proclaims his cult leader status as my favorite joint off of his God Of Black EP (other than “Mystical Maze”) gets a real slick visual treatment (word to the reflections in his shades…as our brother in wholesome raps/spacey soul/cinephiledom originally pointed out). I also gotta say that this transmitting-live-from-one-of-the-lost-pyramids-of-Caral, “where’s my black diamond encrusted cobra head cane?” style of rap is where SGP shines the most (as it bears a uniqueness that chisels him away from the Triple 6 worship of his “sex queens & drugs” angle, whilst still employing the blanket of lo-fi murk and haunting indecipherables in the music).

“The Black God”

Mines From London

SpaceGhostPurrp whips out another dusty, lusty crowd-pleaser. It’s like a new religion or somethin’.

SpaceGhostPurrp “Lustful ’97″ (Produced by SpaceGhostPurrp)

Mystical Bass

New SpaceGhostPurrp 4AM phonk. Wait…4AM…what about 4AD? The YG just inked a deal with them and is dropping Chronicles Of SpaceGhostPurrp on June 12th. Looks like there’ll be a few extra heads on for this next murky journey.

SpaceGhostPurrp “No Evidence” (Produced by SpaceGhostPurrp)

In God Mode

SpaceGhostPurrp and the RVIDER KLVN unleash the first installment of the God Of Black (or GXX XX BXXXK) EP. As our main stain Alex sorta put it, these “kXXX aXX XXXXr XXXXXXXX.” Regardless, this joint is a big improvement over the previous SGP/RVIDER stuff, presenting far less in the departments of completely jarring sonics and keen Triple Six worship, plus more songs that reach beyond the scope of sex, freaks, and the sexing of freaks. Coupled with the fact that it’s short enough to be able to take on in a single sitting, this is most certainly a quality dive through that pool of RVIDER muck…if you can handle that type of grime.
