Get Your Face Wiped Off Ya Head

AWAR makes some hard, NYC-bred rap, yet his joints boast a certain aesthetic quality seldom found in much of today’s “street corner rhyme” market. Essentially, he takes it back to the “golden age of gutter,” the mid/late 90′s, when crime-centric gems were consistently being poured in from all angles (by everyone and his/her cousin). To this day, so many of those “what the fuck happened to that cat” records still move me with that unfiltered energy and the “shit ain’t shiny, nor sweet” attitude within the music.

One thing’s for sure, duke definitely has an ear for production. Check these two joints…and tell me I’m not on-point. I dare you.
