Scotty returns with Burn One riding shotgun to provide some superb trunk funk. Word to the Aaliyah sample on the intro…this is some true Atlanta shit! RIDE THE FUCK OUT TO THIS. Special guests include Starlito, Killa Kyleon, Big K.R.I.T., Trinidad Jame$, LE$, Miloh Smith, Cardo, Soundz, and then some. So far, so really fuckin’ good.
Scotty and Burn One are about to make it seem a lot warmer than it really is with the smokey, thickly battered, slow riding music that will be on F.A.I.T.H.
Scotty “Clarity” (Feat. Ebony Love, Prod. DJ Burn One & Cardo)
Bonus: Some recent things that will not be on F.A.I.T.H.
Scotty “Public Southern Announcement” (Prod. John Qwest)
Scotty with some motivational music. This will not be his upcoming project with DJ Burn One, F.A.I.T.H., which drops very soon…as it is produced by his partna dem, Trakksounds.
Scotty “Live From Houston” (Feat. Jack Freeman, Prod. Trakksounds)
Scotty and Burn One join forces with Two-9‘s Curti$ William$ for this unlikely, yet healthy, collaboration which focuses on the constant issue of thirsty female flock’age. Them cool ass rapper problems, man. Great to hear a more modern flip of that Funkadelic sample. See this on Scotty and Burn‘s upcoming F.A.I.T.H. project.
Scotty “All The Hoe$” (Feat. Curti$ William$, Prod. DJ Burn One)
Just because Scotty makes some of the best country rap tunes on the planet, doesn’t mean he’s cool with just sittin’ back and ridin’ high. The man wants to remain high…and eat! This will not appear on F.A.I.T.H.
Scotty and Big Sant know to keep things direct and clear as day when dealing with new thangs (in this case, ladies). Big surprise if you hear me say, “Smoke and ride to this.”
Scotty “Bucket Seats” (Feat. Big Sant, Prod. DJ Burn One)
Red velvet robe raps and, now, visuals by Scotty for his upcoming F.A.I.T.H. project with DJ Burn One. For the MP3 and more info on the project, do the math.
M.I.A.’s J NICS has been roaming the states with DJ Burn One lately…and as they mentioned on Fresh Out The Box over the summer, there was going to be a palpable result to all of this bread breaking…in the form of a 14-track album. Nothing but the combined vision of two talents taking advantage of their time in close proximity to one another (an organic approach to music making that is seldom practiced these days). Guest appearances by Freddie Gibbs, Scotty, SL Jones and then some. Play this for your old head who has lost all hope in music since Motown (or PE for that matter).
Step into the Darkside
Scotty was on a tight schedule this past CMJ, but he came through on his word and not only stopped by Fresh Out The Box, but set off the whole damn special episode. Catch a glimpse of our new, colorful digs while Scotty speaks a bit on the “New Atlanta” movement, his new project with DJ Burn One (F.A.I.T.H.), the white kid in the “Pay Day” video, and his East Atlanta upbringing.
Shot and put together by George Lowe of ApartmentK.
Scotty ATL(finally…because we were anticipating it THAT much), dropshis new project after holding us down during those heat-stricken summer days with some TOP NOTCH COUNTRY RAP TUNES, brings us the NO DJ version to his incredible The Jiffy Cornbread Experience EP. Now with a bonus track (“Last Goodbye”).
DJ Burn One recently told us that he’s back working with Scotty, entirely, on the next project.
