Ferg decides to drop a remix to a song that didn’t need a remix. The one way to make that happen successfully, though, is to add either French or Q to the credits. This song has both of them.
Schoolboy Q dropped this track in preparation for the release of his upcoming album, Oxymoron — which is tentatively set to release this summer. Also, check this recent interview with Q about the up coming release.
Curt@!n$ and ScHoolboy Q talk that G shit. Q also exhibits a personal-favorite splash technique called “silky bandana beneath boonie/bucket hat” (word to the vintage Gucci x boonie steez the god been on).
New ScHoolboy Q shit for last #TDEFamAppreciationWeek. The best track out the week by (easily) the best one out that bunch. It is ridiculous how apparent that is these days and this joint isn’t even anything THAT stand-out’ish in the scope of their ranging catalog (the title pretty much says it all)…it’s just a solid “turn up” joint, but Q‘s effortlessness wins in being heavily animated whilst delivering a lot of words and remaining NOT corny.
Danny, Q, and A.L.C. are high. So high that when you watch this, you, in turn, feel high. Or maybe because the video is drugs. Or maybe becausaeathlha. #MEME
Rap. Russian loops. Russian Roulette. Out now.
“Flight Confirmation” (Feat. Danny Brown & ScHoolBoy Q, Produced by The Alchemist)
Producer du jour, The Alchemist, has undergone a musical renaissance over the last year starting with the Covert Coup project, with fellow weed advocate Curren$y. Up until then, ALC seemed to be going through the motions providing the backdrop for a lot of JV league thun rappers; which is cool if you’re into “thun rap,” but nothing that was exciting or dynamic enough to get beyond a post at 2dopeboyz or 57thAve (Editor’s Note: Big TWINS shit was ill as fuck tho). A now seemingly inspired Alchemist is getting ready to drop a new project which may breathe some new life into a dead concept: a producer’s compilation. Al showcases his ability to read blogs and pick the latest in cool rappers with vocal assistance from Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q on “Flight Confirmation.” A punk rock-styled arrangement clocking in at less than 2 minutes with no hooks or guitar solos; getting right to the point of letting these rappers do what they do best…rap.
The Alchemist ft. Danny Brown & Schoolboy Q – “Flight Confirmation”
ScHoolboy Q is rapping about feelings and love, that doesn’t seem very Crippy. C’mon man, “Druggy’s Wit Hoes” for life!!! Don’t get me wrong, this is a good track and it seems like Chuck Inglish stopped making the same beat that he made from 2007-2010. But I can’t help it, I wanna hear “marijuana, hydro, pussy, hoes, ass, titties”.
