Chronik, the always hyped emcee that’s jumped to the top of the Slew Dem ranks has re emerged with a new cut and visual, which is supposedly off his next project Rise of the Lengman. Keeping in theme with his previous videos, this one is just as unique and over the top. It’s also crazy that a stateside producer who one of our own PTP familia members (Face Vega) has a connection to, did the beat. Chronik “Deepest Darkest” (Prod. Ruff Sqwad, an early force in their respectable subgenre recently appeared in this set also featuring Slew Dem members Chronik, G Man, Rage, along with Merky Ace, Kozzie, Roachee, and Lee Brasco — recorded at the most recent Boiler Room party on December 13th. This dude’s next tape is gonna be a problem, everything he’s been releasing lately has been skengman status. Chronik, the Slew Dem emcee has stepped up drastically — possibly the crew’s best spitter at the moment, threw out a new video for a banger cut that premiered on Logan Sama’s radio show a few weeks ago. Slew Dem Crew, the grime collective outta East London who’ve dropped too many classic sets in the mid-2000′s is back doing damage in the 2012. This set aired live on the UK’s Deja Vu FM two weeks ago with DJ Spooky and DJ Smallz providing the beats, which seem to be mostly newish beats — refreshing to hear material just out of the plastic wrapper in a genre overcrowded with repeated lines and the same reused beats.
