Prodigy and Alchemist leaked the first track on their upcoming collaboration, the Albert Einstein LP. Shouts to whoever put together the artwork for this one. This is the type of shit I’m trying to hear/see from this duo.
Roc Marciano released visuals for his track “Deeper” off his latest album, Reloaded — which should be purchased. Matching your bandana to your vest? Alrightalright.
Action and Alan The Chemist make a goon flick. A damned damned good one. This video completely reminds me of the spectacular 20+ minute, B&W film this guy Necro dropped on VHS in the 90′s, 187 Reasonz Y (I shit you not, the sound of crackling Black Sabbath vinyl set to horrible fat women and midgets with guns – the man’s greatest achievement). Sub-sub-genre aesthetic comparisons aside, I feel like this is what happens before the two of them get into the studio and work. The duo’s Rare Chandeliers coming soon.
“The Symbol” (Produced by The Alchemist)
Bonus: This shit definitely will further prove my above-stated theory.
House Shoes, the Los Angeles DJ/Producer has recruited the Greneberg team (Roc Marciano, Alchemist, and Oh No) for the latest single off his album Let It Go. Good to hear Roc still killing ‘em, I’m sure Reloaded is going to be a problem.

Earl Sweatshirt and Action Bronson over an Alchemist beat is someone’s 2011 blogXlife rap super fantasy. In 2012, it works out to still be pretty cool if you like rapping.

Producer du jour, The Alchemist, has undergone a musical renaissance over the last year starting with the Covert Coup project, with fellow weed advocate Curren$y. Up until then, ALC seemed to be going through the motions providing the backdrop for a lot of JV league thun rappers; which is cool if you’re into “thun rap,” but nothing that was exciting or dynamic enough to get beyond a post at 2dopeboyz or 57thAve (Editor’s Note: Big TWINS shit was ill as fuck tho). A now seemingly inspired Alchemist is getting ready to drop a new project which may breathe some new life into a dead concept: a producer’s compilation. Al showcases his ability to read blogs and pick the latest in cool rappers with vocal assistance from Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q on “Flight Confirmation.” A punk rock-styled arrangement clocking in at less than 2 minutes with no hooks or guitar solos; getting right to the point of letting these rappers do what they do best…rap.

Roc Marciano over Gangrene‘s style of psych-synth drugness(tm) is just the type of shit to make me throw a bulldozer at some lucky fuck’s face. Just makes me want to time warp to Reloaded‘s day of release that much more. Rewind, rewind, rewind. If you haven’t already learned this by watching those amazing video trailers for Vodka & Ayahuasca, look them up, and bring out those wallets on January 24.
M.E.D. speaks revolution and smoke signals with his Gangrene team. Murky, zoney, slow-mo visions perfectly fitting the Alan The Chemist beat of similar audible properties.
“War & Love” (Feat. Oh No, Produced by The Alchemist)
Gangrene returns with Bandana P on some uptempo murder. This goes down as the first glimpse into the duo’s upcoming project, Vodka & Ayahuasca. The song is available on iTunes today, though.
