The Forty Deuce show on East Village Radio represents everything a 2-hour radio program could do on the correct-side-of-things (I won’t go into anymore detail on those…details…just check all of our posts or listen to the fuckin’ show and have an easy time figuring it out for yourself)…as well as our extended familia. Admittedly, it has been too long since the last time we bigged up the show on here. So boom…without further adieu, we bring to you some ridiculous Forty-Wednesday pre-game material to zone on before and after the 6-8PM (EST) soundbombing on EVR (although, it ain’t “pre-gaming” if you peep it after today’s episode of the Deuce). Check the ballistics…
June 29th, 2011. The legendary Sam Sever, longtime Forty fam member, returns to wreck more shop with his usual cut-thirsty delivery of all-things-funky. A wide range of joints, so many fuckin’ joints – all tactfully sprayed-off from two hands. Also features Seth Zvi Rosenfeld (of, most recently, How To Make It In America fame) and the Yarnana girls.
Listen to another Sam Sever Forty Deuce invasion.
July 6th, 2011. Gee-Money holds it down while Capital Pete and Nastee co-host. I happened to be in the area after hoppin’ off the bridge from a hot ass mission deep in BK…so boom, I had to slide in and talk my shit. PTP stickers? Word? I didn’t know. Annnnnd the Yarnana ladies return and make Geebee wear a pink camouflage skimask. No photos were snapped, you sick puppies.
Nastee drops an exclusive heater. Nathan’s Hot Dog eating contests are fuckin’ disgusting. Enjoy.
Listen to post-July 4th Forty, hot ass summer day mayhem.
July 13, 2011. A typical episode of Forty Deuce…which means expect the unexpected…always. Gee and Keene, with some help from the father-&-son duo of Big Ouss and Lil Ouss (uptown, what up! Team Frozen, what up!), engage in that nasty funk, memories of the great NYC skate legend, Andy Kessler, and Keene retells this one time he saw the street masseuses thump it out on some turf war shit.
Listen to the Forty Deuce funk, Andy Kessler tribute, and real-life kung fu fights.
July 27, 2011. The Block‘s own OG Chino puts one seriously funked out set, much of which would be placed under the category of “boogie.” Yeaah that nasty, early 80′s funk. All vinyl…all bangers. The dude is a wizard…a bilingual wizard (perhaps trilingual?). Colombian graff genius, Aeon, drops some gems about arts & crafts in his homeland.
Listen to OG Chino and his Colombian cartel on Forty Deuce.
August 3rd, 2011. DJ Synapse throws down. Rare shit, truckloads of original samples, and some of the songs that flipped those samples. I slid in just in time to witness a young MC by the name of Wiki get very busy on the M.I. (as well as most of Synapse’s set, live). Oh yeah, no “summering” in the Hampton’s was done during the recording of this episode.
Listen to DJ Synapse awaken everyone’s inner MC on Forty Deuce.
Basically…you just got blessed with 10 hours incredible music, guests, and conversation. You need this show in your weekly living situation.
