Atlanta’s Rome Fortune is easily one of the most unique talents we’ve had the pleasure of discovering for ourselves, as well as breaking bread with since he came through to Fresh Out The Box over the summer (kudos to Alex of Steady Bloggin’ for the initial heads up). Rome‘s brand of music is a perfect mixture of heady poetry and a laid back ATLien flash, dense enough to keep things far from a bedtime story, yet he exudes an effortless float on track every time. Dude is like an old jazz cat in a young frame.
What completes the cipher on this one? The cloud-stomping backdrop by Childish Major (of HPG fame…alongside DJ Spinz and C4). This NuLanta movement is easily the most interesting scene to put a lens to right now.
