Technicolor Drugs

Grande Marshall unleashes the beast from his underground lair! Sonically varied, yet extremely cohesive, 800 lives mostly in the BPM range of “profoundly creeping” with an occasional burst of uptempo (as in, not 120 beats per minute, cut into half time) soulful sprinkling (this IS a product of Philly ya know). “Cerebral ignorance” is how I’d categorize some of the material on here…with the flipside being thought-provoking, old-soul-in-a-young-frame raps. Grande embodies a bevy of endearing qualities as a rhythmic wordsmith: definite sharpness in wit with a dash of youthful, “fuck the world” tunnel vision, all delivered in precise articulation. The scope of his expressive talent becomes truly apparent when witnessing how fluently he can snap from the collected calm of one track to the aggro, throat-lacerating, Philly style on the next (as made famous here, here, and here). Range is certainly on his list of specialties.

Obtain this now and understand why we refer to Grande as the lead programmer to the “nu-Philly” archetype.
