Grande Marshall, Philadelphia’s leader in Trill Wave, lets loose this joint from his upcoming mixtape 800 (I’ll raise you 500, Chief Keef). “GODBPM” has the title and feel of a SpaceGhostPurrp track with the easy, breezy, mood-setting saxaphone provided by producer Worthy. Unlike Purrp, GM is actually a pretty good rapper and his lyrics are his strongest asset. They are something that a person who may not know the nuances of the trends in internet rap will be able to find relatable. No mysticism, no way to into fashion references, or excessive drug use talk- just rhymes bred on the corner that will be always a timeless element regardless of the musical climate.
