Gangsta Gibbs teams up with GBE‘s Lil Reese and Young Chop for another slice of midwestern trappin’. The contrast between Freddie’s tech savvy flow and Reese’s much more simplistic style is pretty effective. At this point, I’m still not quite sold on Young Chop’s skill-over-hype’ness yet. While he IS young and quick at work with a catalog of many serviceable beats, at best, it’s apparent that he still needs some tweaking and refinement; especially in his drum work (that overly-compressed kick/bass distortion is ever-prevalent…and NOT a good look if you ask me and everyone else who left the Heatmakerz fan club back in ’04/’05).
