Chi-Town’s TREE takes all of the backwoods sludge from his city and makes a drawl sammich that cats in Mississippi would be proud to take a bite of. Basically, this is some densely-coated, Midwest trunk-that-backed-through-a-cathedral-wall funk (not even because of the title either). It may take virginal ears a go-thru or two to understand that TREE is actually saying some wild shit underneath his wild delivery (the possessed voice and thick accent has been known to throw a few for a loop)…but with the help of some truly key-rattling production…you’ll see the light soon enough.
Big up our man Steady Bloggin’ Alex for puttin’ this on our radar.
