Backstory time. This was recorded months back, in October, after our peoples at Boundless NY (namely, Teddy King, Tes-Uno, and Aaron Hansen) had a bunch of us friends gather at their Brooklyn home base one Saturday night. Five of us were beckoned to create a huge Bless Radio episode and photo session…to be dropped each week following that fateful evening. Well, things happen…by the 4th man, Commander Black, heads had overwhelmed the sound system with audio dope and technical issues struck, tenfold. Mix that with the hectic, year-end business and other project deadlines…and voila…you’ve got yourself a push back, a delay, and an inevitable change of strategy.

It was a really ill idea/experience to have so many heads with wild crates mob up and be forced to think up his own special blend of audible treats…hence my demented grab bag of choice offerings (and I don’t think any of us had to think too hard to come up with something interesting). The mix itself is an “eclectic” (cliche points) splash of all things aggro and tuff…clockin’ in at almost an hour. No, seriously, do not play this if you’re hanging around anyone going through an emotional moment. There’s some old school metal (of all sorts), a pinch of hardcore, some psych/prog, weird shit, movie samples, and 90′s thugged out hip hop rarities. My man Tes-Uno (with Teddy King on mic #2 for the intro) plays MC and (extra) sound efx man as the music unravels the cast of your sanity.
