Roofless

Troy Ave goes off over some gargantuan Moroder‘esque synths. Hookless joint, editless video…d.i.y. hustler shit from the jump. Bricks In My Backpack 3, soon.

Crazy, Psycho, Deranged

Danny Brown and UK’s Darq E. Freaker make a fuckin’ monster…a blueberry monster. DAMN! Multiple varieties at that (IMO, the MORRI$ remix bangs on par with the OG joint). Grime time.

Update: Added the video for self-abuse visual aid. Peace to Danny rockin’ that Patago-Life™ shit.

Killer Mike will drop the El-P-produced megaton R.A.P. Music bomb in two weeks (5/15/2012). You wanna hear two new things called “Southern Fried” and “Jojo’s Chillin’,” respectively? Head over to Adult Swim‘s Williams Street.

Clams Casino recently spun a short (instrumental) guest set for BBC Radio 1 which could very well play as a chunky introduction piece to those who have yet to really connect the dots. From ASAP Rocky & Main Attrakionz to yet-to-be-heard gooey clouds of echoey distortion.

Tree, along with director Davy Goldberg, provide a optical treatment (what?) to the song that, in my opinion, wholly showcases the Chicago MC/producer’s “soul trap” style (it also happens to be one of my favorites from duke): slow, fragmented, Southern-charred marching band funk over a stuttering 808 bounce. Sunday School is the SHIT!

In Case The Brick Is Wired

Kiss got some new work out, but it’s soundin’ like he set up shop O.T. Not a bad thing at all. An abundance of dopeman bars, big synths over 808-type drum work, and plenty of Styles P co-d assists. Other notable cameos include Sheek Louch, Slim Dunkin, Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, and ASAP Rocky. This may be his best mixtape/album since the The Champ Is Here (although not without some minor lackluster production gripes…as well as a couple of questionable guests).
